Letters to the Editor
Dear Editor:
Saturday, November 2, the varsity football team lost to Maine South, 10-0. The score does not reveal that it was a close, hard fought game. Maine West could have won with the aid of a few breaks.

Alibis, though, are not the purpose of this letter. Had the gridmen won, they would have been tied for first place in the Central Suburban South Conference. It was a very important game.

Is it not the Maine West tradition to have a pep assembly on the day preceding a big game? Aren't the Maine South Hawks also the Warriors' chief rivals?

The large turnout at the game was not completely up for this game. The players need to know that their school is behind them.

I am disgusted at the lack of interest shown by certain parties concerning the Maine South contest!

Dear Editor:
The Student Council did not sponsor the concert you wrote about on Page 2 of the November 8 issue of the Westerner. The Athletic Boosters Club was responsible for it.

Student Council did sponsor Homecoming (Page 1) with Tina Voelker, chairman of Organizations Committee, in charge.
