VOL. XVI, NO. 4
NOVEMBER 22, 1974

Winter's chill brings us not only indoor sports to occupy the time but also gives me a chance to say things about post season awards and honors from the fall. Recently, for example, I found out a few things about the soccer team.

The Central Suburban's AllConference Soccer Squad has been announced, and among those players selected were five from Maine West. Those players honored were Buddy Doroskin '76, Mark Grzebieniak '75, Norm Hillner '75, Tor Johnsen '75, and Matt Serna '76. Hillner's selection to the squad was his second in two years on the varsity. Another soccer note is that the team earned a ranking of fifth in the state by the season's end. By the way, thanks a lot for the information, Norm.
The Fall Sports Award Night was held on November 12 this year; and the following day, of course, was M‑Club Initiation Day.

This gives me an idea for an interesting Wandering Warrior type question. The question, which would be asked only of freshmen, would read, "What was your reaction when you first saw one of the M‑Club initiates in the hall?"

And finally, did you know that Coach James Morel's overall record for the past three football seasons is 11-14, but that the record against Maine South is 2-1? During those games Maine West outscored the Hawks by a score of 63-39 totally.
