Winter Formal Becomes
'Evening in Evergreen'
The theme of this year's Winter Formal is "Evening in Evergreen." The dance is to be held on Saturday, December 21, in the auditorium from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. and will include the crowning of the Winter Formal queen.

The dance is sponsored by Student Council, and tickets are on sale in the bookstore and in the: cafeteria during all the lunch periods. The cost of the tickets is $3 per couple.

United on Stage, the popular contemporary group which played at Homecoming, will also play for the formal.
The queen and her court are now being voted on in the homerooms. There will be four attendants, one from each class. The senior girl with the most votes will be the Winter Formal queen. The names of the girls chosen will be announced on Friday, December 20, the day before the dance.

Kathie Steinken '75, head chairman and court chairman, feels, "There will hopefully be a big turnout because the group is good; and if Homecoming is representative of the amount of students going to dances this year, it should be the best Winter Formal in the school's history."

Committee chairmen for the dance in addition to Kathie are Jo Brown '77, decorations; Mary Adams '76, tickets; Rose Adams '76, refreshments; Paulette Loch '76, band.
