Did you know that Mr. Joel Geils was elected vice‑president of the Illinois Foreign Language Teachers Association at its November 2, 1974, meeting at Urbana, Illinois.
Did you know that eight Maine West photography students, Jim Nero '75, Bruce Jacobs '75, Karla Schmies '75, John Seidel '75, Dave Joswiak '75, John Fisher '75, Jay Decker '76, and Rich Weisgerber '75, had their photos exhibited for the Photo Art Exhibit at Lutheran General Hospital. The exhibit which was sponsored by the Lutheran General Hospital Service League ran the whole month of November. These eight students were the final selectionists made by the Service League Screening Committee.

Did you know that senior Yvonne Monreal was featured in the Elk Grove Guardian newspaper for an article on girls' physical education, particularly self‑defense.
U and U Society will have a Christmas party in the cafeteria on December 19. The 20 people who attend will enjoy a gift exchange, food, music, dancing, playing games, and later caroling in the neighborhood of the school. To top off an evening of outdoor vigor, the group will stop for hot chocolate.
