VOL. XVI, NO. 6
Dear Editor:
As I understand it, the Pom Pon Squad's only time to perform is during halftime at the basketball games. But at the game on Friday, December 13, the Pom Pon Squad did not do a routine.
There are 10 home games this year, and the Squad will only be able to do six of them. What I don't understand is why we have a Pom Pon Squad if they don't get the chance to do what they were picked to do.
A lot of hard work and effort goes into each routine. The girls practice three times a week from 3:30 until about 5 p.m., on Friday mornings, and with the band before each game.
Until this year the girls did a routine at all home games; and when a different organization also wanted to do something, the groups shared the time allowed. Instead of taking away almost half of the squad's performances, they should be allowed to continue as they have in the past.
