Brotherhood Society
To Choose Members
The Maine West Brotherhood Society is sponsoring a concert in an all‑school assembly the morning of March 4, at 8:30 in the Rider Gym.

The assembly is for recognizing present Brotherhood Society members as well as announcing the new members. Brotherhood Society is an organization "where students have the chance to elect their fellow students for the qualities of giving, caring, and the exhibition of what is considered good brotherhood," said Mr. Eldon Burk, assistant principal.

In honor of the occasion the rock group "Under New Management" will perform. "Under New Management" is a Campus Life‑sponsored group composed of college students mainly from the western Great Lakes area.
These students are selected from auditions held each year. Once they are accepted, they take a year's leave from college to travel in concert tours all over the country. They play for high schools, churches, and local service clubs.

"Under New Management" considers it a service or mission to spread its upbeat message. As Mr. Burk said, "They have a very positive message. The concert leaves you feeling good when it is through."

Mr. Bruce Erickson, sponsor of the Brotherhood Society, added that "Under New Management" was selected to play for Maine West again this year because, "We have found that the arrangements are compatible. They give a good concert."

Members of "Under New Management" are Marie Rapier, Cindy Burr, Barbara Watts, Mark Sorensen, Dave Lawbaugh, Phil Bankester, Mike Bryant, and Lynn Keesecker.
