Brotherhood Week Is Understanding
"If I can stop one heart from breaking, then I would not have lived in vain." Wouldn't it be beautiful if everyone could live by these words? Unfortunately, no one really cares to carry out the brotherhood of a relatively simple phrase.

The students at Maine West have gone beyond indifference; we don't ignore the people we don't like. If people are different than we, we laugh; if they are better, we cut them down. This indifference has not just developed recently; it has been carried out through the history of the world. But where does it all end?
If we are all able to destroy the prejudices within us, we may be able to expect a fair world later. But until we realize that everyone has faults and no one is supposed to live up to our expectations the world will continue to have problems.

This coming week is designated as Brotherhood Week. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all have understanding for each other's wishes next week and the rest of the year. Maine West would be a better place for everyone if we all accepted everyone else for the persons they are
