This year's Variety Show, "Joy to the World," will begin Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a matinee performance and will continue evenings through Saturday, Nov. 15.

The student director is Scott Peckenpaugh '76, and the faculty adviser is Mr. Ronald Mills.

Scott said, "This is going to be one of the best shows we've had in a long time; it's going to be very good."

Tryouts were held Sept. 15-19, and the acts for the show were selected Sept. 20.

The head choreographer is Carrie Mack '76, and her assistants are Lou Pontarelli '76 and Janet Seitz '76. This year's dance chorus is Vickie Kadlec '78, Corinna Karpiel '78, Tern Kehe '77, Margie Clem '77, Connie Latson '77, Cathy Lawlor '76, Margaret Szostrand '77, Nancy Wilson '76, Ann Zemaitis '76, and Donna Pederson '77.

Commenting on the dancing, Carrie said, "Because of having to organize so many things involved with dance chorus, as music and dances, everything's going slowly but well."

Other members of the staff are Mr. Robert Kuite, music director; Mr. Robert Norris, designer; Mr. Bruce Nelson, technical director; Tom Fischer '76, student music director; and his assistants are Mark Davis '76 and Mark Sherkerjian '76; Mary Jo Zalabak '76, student designer; Thom O'Donnell '76, stage manager; and his assistant George Gatsis '76; Mike Henson '78, lighting chairman; and the lighting staff, Eric Helgeland '76 and Pat McClaughry '77.

Others are the design staff: Mary Bergdolt '76, Pam Damasky '77, and Sue Seidler '77; property managers: Betsy Forkins '76 and Chris Prochenski '78; make‑up supervisors: Mary Darling '78 and Sue Melchert '76; Dick Linberg '76, sound crew chairman; Gayle Gyssler '77, business manager; and Scott Jackson '76, publicity chairman.

Scott said that one of the most promising acts is "But Mr. Adams," which is a comedy song about who is going to write the Declaration of Independence.
