Sophomores Elect Calendar Girls
The calendar girls for the 1976-77 school year were chosen on Mar. 3 by the members of the Sophomore Class. Preparations are now underway for next year's calendar.
The sophomore girls chosen for next year's calendar are Cindy Lee, cover; Dina DeRosa, January; Mary Samaritano, February; Jeanie Gruber, March: Barb Lofgren, April; Tara Nesbit, May: Jackie Duwe, June; Julie Carver, July; Judy Schwichtenberg, August; Lynn Tilton, September: Mari Maldowney, October: Pat Bianco, November; and Dawn Balut, December.
Each homeroom selected one girl from their homeroom and one girl from the Sophomore Class to participate in the election. Later, a morning homeroom assembly was held in the auditorium. Each girl was introduced and escorted by either Student Council president, Jim Lofgren, or treasurer, Ken Wenz. Each student then voted for two girls, and the 13 girls with the most votes were chosen for the new calendar.
The overall reaction of the girls chosen was of surprise. Julie Carver said, "I didn't believe it when she told me."
