Solo, Ensemble Night Approaches
This year's Music Department Solo and Ensemble Night has been changed from Apr. 20 to May 6 due to scheduling problems. Participation is open to all members of the Music Department.
Musicians performing on Solo and Ensemble Night are divided into three categories: strings, brass and woodwinds, and voice, with several qualified judges in each category. After performing, each participant or participating group receives a rating of either fair, good, excellent, or superior.

After all the entrants have played or sung, each judge picks the best performance that he criticized. The selected performers will compete again in the finals May 9 before the full panel of judges. The winner of this competition will perform in the Music Festival this spring.
