School Gymnasts
Twelve of the finest high school gymnasts will be performing in the Herman L. Rider Gymnasium on Apr. 24. They will be competing in the Second National High School All‑Around Invitational.

Among the twelve is high school senior Bart Conner, from Morton Grove. Conner was a gold and bronze medal winner in the recent Pan American Games and has won a multitude of other honors. Other participants from Illinois are Maine South's Craig Martin; Breck Grigas, a repeat from last year; and Dan Muenz, the brother of Kevin Muenz, who was a performer in the invitational last year.

Along with these gymnasts are performers from all over the country. Ron Galimore, from Florida, is returning to the invitational tournament for a second time. New York's Mario McCuchceon is returning along with his teammate, Wally Miller. Joe Stalone, another repeat, is traveling to the meet from Pennsylvania.
Jim Kelch, a senior from Oregon, has spent the last year training in Japan. Stacy Maloney, a Wisconsin State AllAround champion, comes to the meet highly recommended and has been offered nine full scholarships already this year. Jim Hartung, of Nebraska, is a sophomore who won the Junior Olympics gymnastics title. George Martinez, from Los Angeles, California, rounds out the list of participants.

The event will begin at 7:15 p.m. with the actual competition starting at 7:30. Tickets are available in the bookstore for $3.
