Ski Club To Hold Spring Banquet
Ski Club Banquet
Ski Club will be holding their annual banquet at Little Villa Restaurant on Apr. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Awards for the best skier, the most improved skier, and other awards will be presented that night. All interested members should pay $3 in the bookstore, for all the pizza and mostaccioli you can eat.
Legend Payments
Those students who paid $3.50 at the beginning of the year still owe the final payment of $3 for this year's yearbook, which can be paid in the cafeteria Apr. 26-30 during all lunch periods. Anyone interested in purchasing an extra Legend should contact Mr. George Walker in room R-210. The full price of the yearbook is now $6.50.
French Club Field Trip
The French Club is planning a field trip to the Art Institute and a French restaurant tomorrow from 10 am. to 4:30 p.m. The price of the trip is $6.90 for members and $7.90 for non-members. For further information see Mrs. Susan Masellis in A-217.
Pom Pon Tryouts
Pom Pon tryouts will be held May 3-7. There will be a very important meeting in L-101 after school on Wednesday, Apr. 28. Anyone interested in the tryouts must attend.
Career Cinema
Any sophomore, junior, or senior who is interested in career advice is urged to visit the Career Resource Center, according to Mr. James Killam, career counselor. Different films are shown daily. Films and dates are posted for student information outside of the Career Resource Center. The films run 15 minutes long and can be seen during any period of the day. "It's Your Future" will be shown Apr. 19-20. The movie, "Construction," plays Apr. 21-22; "It's Up to You" plays Apr. 23. The film, "Opportunities in the Machine Trades" will be shown Apr. 26-27.
Merit Scholars
The following students have been named finalists in the 1976 Merit Scholarship competition: Roberta Downing, Charles Gassman, Leroy Hodges, and Robert Peterson. Since these students have qualified as finalists, they are now being considered for Merit Scholarships by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
