The winner of five Academy Awards, "Cuckoo's Nest" has proved itself as an exceptional film.
Fine acting is present throughout the film by the outstanding performances of Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher.

Nicholson is both humorous and philosophical in his portrayal as the patient, Randall Patrick McMurphy. Free spirited, sarcastic, and far from being mentally sick, McMurphy is transferred from a prison farm to the funny farm.
The only obstacle to McMurphy's liberating of his friends is the domineering Nurse Ratchet as portrayed by Louise Fletcher. The conflict which develops between Nurse Ratchet and McMurphy is the basis to the film
