Senioritis Strikes At End of Year
By SUE GIBSON

There is a strange type of condition that affects the typical high school senior: this is known as senioritis. There is no known cure for this strange ailment, except a good dose of graduation.

This condition has baffled the greatest of men for years and years, and it still has them puzzled. A list of symptoms has been compiled to facilitate the diagnosis of the "summertime blues."

1. There is a strong yearning to cut classes; the victim of this disease is often told that going to classes is a strain on the body.

2. A classic victim of senioritis often has an urge to pull pranks on the beloved institution of learning which he attends regularly (Well, maybe not so regularly).
3. Another symptom of this is the desire to make every Friday a Senior Ditch Day. (This is one of the dangerous symptoms; it may cause a great deal of pain and loss of sleep).

4. The last symptom of an ailing senior is the lack of homework ability. (If this symptom is too strong, it could cause a relapse of the disease in approximately one year, because, more than likely, the student will be returning for another year at their beloved school).

The disease, although not contagious, does spread. As of this writing the Senior Class is slowly but surely becoming affected. But it is a disease worth waiting for; surely after four years of high school the seniors deserve a break. After all, you are only young once!
