Gebhardt Displays Outstanding Tennis
This week's shining star in Warrior sports is Tom Gebhardt. Gebhardt is a member of the varsity tennis squad and seems to be one of the main men for this season.

At the Warrior's quadrangular meet held Apr. 3 Gebhardt beat all corners for a first in third singles. Then teamed up with Bob Wyatt, they won the doubles. On Apr. 10 it was Gebhardt and Wyatt again as they cleaned up in the doubles category.

One of the most amazing things about Gebhardt is that is is only a sophomore. Most of West's best talent in the past has come from the upperclassmen. Coach Roger King had this to say, "Tom is not a flashy player; he works hard and gets the job done. That's all I can ask."

Warrior tennis is not always tops in the conference. It seems that all other schools have programs set up to interest smaller children in the sport before they reach high school.
With two more years at West Gebhardt should become a major conference threat.
