Students Receive Awards
Each year several Maine West students receive their international Quill and Scroll awards from Mr. George Walker. publications sponsor. This year 10 students from the Westerner and Legend staffs and from the journalism classes will be honored with the highly sought after award on June 7.
The students are Mary Adams '76, Jan Barry '77, Kathy Dalenberg '76, Carrie Dierks '77, Steve Hoepfner '77, Tammy Huffaker '77, Carol Jacobsen '76, Dave Johnson '78, Denise Pytlik '78, and Lisa Waino '76.
The Quill and Scroll is awarded to any student in the upper third of his class and who has had a total of 100 inches published or two years of yearbook work.
