Isn't it a drag. . .

When all of the petals fall off your Homecoming mum before the end of the day.

When your locker won't open and you swear you have the right combination.

The one day you wear a dress and all of your friends are wearing jeans.

When you realize that there are eight more months left of school.

When you get a pass to see the dean first thing in the morning.

Forgetting your locker combination one minute before the late bell rings.

When you get to school late and have to park your car what seems like two miles away from school.

When your desk tips over in the middle of class.

Losing your I.D. and then having to pay $1 for a crummy picture of yourself.
Having a locker inspection when half of your wardrobe is in your locker.

When a chair slips out from under you in the cafeteria

The one day you have to do homework in homeroom and you find out you're having an assembly.

When there is a fire drill in the middle of gym class.

Doing warm‑up exercises in gym.

When you drop your plate in lunch.

Getting balloons for your seventeenth birthday.

When all of your friends are selling Pep Club candy and you're on a diet.

Listening to the daily bulletin five days a week.

Losing your trusty red Warriner's.

When you have to wait in line to go up the stairs.
