Archers Remain Undefeated
Despite the cold weather, the Maine West girls' archery team continued its undefeated record by beating Forest View High School by a score of 19-1, Wednesday, Oct. 1, on home ground The highlight of the meet was Leslie Blietz's perfect round of 24 consecutive bull's eyes, a first for any Maine West archer.

Leading scorers from 20 yards were Leslie Blietz 216, team captain Barb Brieder, with 210, Robin Gulder with 200, Cindy Tomasewski with 198, Cheryl DeMichele 192, and Mary O'Donnell with a score of 188.
The girls continued their winning streak on Saturday, Oct. 4, at a 10-school invitational meet at Prospect. Out of 40 girls Leslie Blietz took the first place trophy in individuals, and Barb Brieder placed third. The Maine West team took second place in the team competition. The next meet will be Friday, Oct. 17, when Maine West enters the Central O'Hare Tour which is a six-school invitational meet.
