Warriors Hexed by Demons
The Maine West football team was defeated Friday, Oct. 3, by twelfth ranked Maine East, by a score of 22 to 15.

According to both head coaches, Mr. James Morel of West, and Mr. Eck of East, they had to stop the other team's quarterback.

The Demons scored first even though the Warriors dominated by controlling the ball more. Maine West tied the game on a pass play, Bob Zuccarini to Ken Kunze from inside the 5‑yard line on fourth and three.
The Warriors' Pat Hartley made what looked to be the play of the game by tripping up the Demons' Donatucci, on a 79yard kickoff return. Donatucci ran past everybody but Hartley, who at that time stopped a potential touchdown.

Scott Unger barreled through the defensive line of Maine East for six points and then two more on the conversion.

A late scoring drive by the Warriors ended up on the Maine East 43 and came up short in their Homecoming game, 22 to 1
