PTC Holds Open Houses
The Maine West Parent‑Teacher Council has already held one of its Open Houses. The next one will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Open House is held from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Parents whose last names begin with letters A through L attended Open House yesterday. Parents whose names begin with letters M through Z should attend Tuesday.

Open House is held to help parents become better acquainted with their children's teachers. Mr. John Graef, assistant principal, said, "It gives the parents an opportunity to meet their children's teachers and find out what the instructional program is. It also allows the parents to see the classrooms which gives an extra dimension."
Parents coming Tuesday will be treated in the same way as last night's group was. They will receive copies of the student's schedules. This is to remind them of the classes they are to visit. The U and U Society (Ushers and Usherettes) will help by providing directions on how to get to the classrooms.

Because of Open House, school will be dismissed early as it was yesterday. Homeroom through sixth period will remain unchanged, and periods seven through nine will be shortened.
