Officers Chosen
Recently the Office Occupations classes elected their officers. The officers for first period class are Sue Ritchie, president; Lori O'Connor, vice‑president; Maureen Nelson, secretary; Linda McJunkin, treasurer. Second period officers are as follows: Sue Wallace, president; Debbie Vondrak, vice‑president; Luanne Wallin, secretary: Eileen Karstens, treasurer.
On Nov. 21 and 22 both classes will travel to Zion, Illinois, for the area conference. There, each student will compete in different contests, such as spelling, typing, shorthand, math, accounting, job interviews, and machine transcription. At last year's conference the classes brought home 13 trophies. This year's classes hope to equal or better that record.
Mr. William Breitzke, Office Occupation co‑ordinator stated, 'I am very confident that both classes will do well at the conference because of the great amount of skill that so many of my students have."
