Westerner Honors Scot Unger
For coming issues the Westerner will be carrying a new section on the sport's page featuring a Warrior athlete. Each week a new player from a different sport will be featured for his or her accomplishments.
This week's outstanding player is senior Scot Unger who is tailback for the Maine West varsity football team. Unger averages six yards per carry and has carried the ball 75 times
Scot is recognized as one of the best runners in the conference. Because of his running ability, most teams have turned their defense toward Unger during the game. Scot has had runs of 81, 79, 65, and 45 yards along with other runs that have moved the Warriors down the field this year.
Scot plans to play football when he attends college.
