The last six games of the varsity girls' tennis team brought two wins and four losses. The wins came against Niles North, 5-2, and Niles East, 4-3. They dropped the other four meets to Maine East, 3-4; Glenbrook South, 1-6; Maine South, 3-4; and Glenbrook North, 0-7.

Although the girls had a losing season, a bright spot did come in the district meet held at Elk Grove on Saturday, Oct. 18. Nancy Weber, a sophomore, came away with first place in the singles competition while Karen Kiester and Laurie Meissner placed in doubles.
