Tennis Season Closes
This years girls' tennis team is all through for the season. Coach Royleen Tipton thinks, "We were very much improved this season: the girls worked hard and did well in a tough league."

Nancy Weber qualified for state singles and Laurie Meissner and Karen Kiester qualified for state doubles.

On October 31 and November 1 the Maine West girls' tennis team competed in the CSL South meet at Niles West.

In the doubles Karen Kiester and Laurie Meissner lost to Glenbrook South. Barb Klein and Carol Matkovic also lost the doubles match to Glenbrook South.
In the singles Nancy Weber lost to Niles West. Nancy Hebetler lost to Glenbrook North, and Jenny Bruns lost to Maine South.

The wins and losses for the tennis season is 3 and 5 for the varsity. For JV the wins and losses are 2 and 6.

Karen Keister, one of the top tennis players, said. "I think everyone tried the best they could, and I think we did really good."
