Career Resource Center
Provides Information
The Career Resource Center can help students select a college or career. Through tests, a student can find his or her career potential.
Students should decide on a major if they plan to go to college. A career test is available to help you decide what field appeals most to you. This test can show you the job or jobs for which you would be best suited.
With the results of this test, you could see if these jobs interest you. If they do, then they could be a possible major.
After a college is selected, you should find out if the college requires the ACT or the SAT. These tests should be taken in the middle of your junior year. The results are sent to three colleges which you select.
If you are considering financial aid, you should fill out either the Parents Confidential Statement (PCS) or the Family Financial Statement (FFS). These statements help the colleges decide how great your financial need is for meeting college costs.
The Illinois State Monetary Award gives money to the student's college, for the student's education. This award is based on need and has nothing to do with test scores or scholastic aptitude. This award is only applicable to colleges in Illinois.
A computer has been set up to aid students in job selections. It gives characteristics needed for certain jobs.
