Dear Editor:
How come the girls of this school have to pay a towel fee, when the only time we use them is in the swimming classes? I don't see why boys get towels every day. Why can't girls have them too? What makes girls any different? We should have towels in the locker rooms in case we want to shower.

We have to go to gym class and come out all sweaty and smelly, cause the boys have all the towels. What about the girls who come from gym and go to work? I can't believe that Maine West or the district will go bankrupt if they buy about 500 more towels, so the girls can have the pleasure of being clean after gym, like the boys. To clean the towels wouldn't take that much time anyway, since they don't come folded.

Lynne Terry Editor's Note:
Towels are now available in both B and C wings for girls to use if they wish. Because showering is not required, we use varying numbers of towels. I have been assured the "towel man" will check the wings more often to make sure there are towels available.
