Industrial English Taught
Miss Ruth Nickelson, English teacher, is offering another year of her industrial English program. She has been teaching industrial English for two years.

This program is offered to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in learning more about the vocabulary used for shop classes.

Industrial English is one semester in length and one‑half credit. The only requirement is that one must be taking a shop class.
There are no textbooks used. Students draw pictures of machines and learn more about tools.

Miss Nickelson recently presented the program at an lATE (Illinois Association of Teachers of English) meeting. She introduced the program at Maine West which has now become a success.

Anyone interested in going into industrial fields or factory work are advised to look into this program. Miss Nickelson may be contacted in Room B-212. Counselors also have registration information.
