End of Semester Denotes Tests
ACT
The American College Test will be given on Feb. 14. The last day for registration is Jan. 19. The fee for taking the ACT is $7.50 and may be paid in the bookstore. The test will also be given on Apr. 10 and June 12. The last day for registering on these dates are Mar. 15 and May 17 respectively.
Semester Finals
First semester finals will be given on Wednesday, Jan. 21, through Friday, Jan. 23. The first testing period begins at 8:10 am., the second at 9:50 am., and the third at 11:30 am., ending the last testing period at 1 p.m. on all three of the testing days. On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the periods are 3, 6 and 8, on Thursday, Jan. 22, 1, 5, 7, and on Friday, Jan. 23, periods 2, 4, and 9.
Teachers Institute Day
There will be no school on Monday, Jan. 26, because of a Teachers' Institute Day.
Mid‑Year Commencement
Mid‑Year Commencement will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium.

Bonnie Serone '77 and Robin Schuster '76 are recipients of badminton scholarships at Illinois State University, which will cover a year of tuition. Bonnie is a member of the tennis, volleyball, badminton, and softball teams. Robin is a member of the tennis, volleyball, and badminton teams.
James Beitzel Promoted
James Beitzel, a January graduate of 1974, has recently been promoted to the grade of Airman First Class in the Department of the Air Force. James took several Industrial Education courses including two years of metal shop. Since he is now classified as a sheet metal specialist, his background in Industrial Education has proved to be beneficial.
Correction in Story
The name of Stanley Lata '76 was omitted in the listing of the Illinois State Scholars in the last edition.
