Girl Fencers End Season
The girls' fencing team finished their season with the varsity record at 1-1 and the junior varsity record at 2-0. Although that may not sound very impressive, the girls on each level improved.
The girls' final meet was the Christmas Tournament on Dec. 16. Finishing high on the varsity level were Barb Breider, capturing first, and Terhilda Garrido, taking second.

On the junior varsity there was a double elimination with Karen Hoffman winning first place. Taking second was Mary Copeland; Eileen Wall was third; June Rapinchuck took fourth; and Lisha D'Andrea and Sue Lindeman tied for fifth place.
On c‑strip the girls swept the strip with Marjorie Hahn taking first; Gina Pavese was second; Jorie Downing placed third; Mary Anderson took fourth; and Jan Nelson took fifth.
