Experience Will Help Gymnasts
Good individual performances won't always win meets as the Warrior varsity gymnasts have found out this year. The team's biggest problem is their inconsistency.

In the meet against Wheeling on Jan. 8, the musclemen fell 118.16 to 77.31. Even though they lost by a wide margin, there were a few bright spots. Pat Dent had an excellent 7.40 in the floor exercise, and Mark Vogel followed with 5.55 also in the floor exercise. John Piske had 5.10 on the still rings. Dent had a 5.11 average all around.
As for the meet on Jan. 10, Pat Dent had his usual good performance with a 7.75 on the floor exercise and 5.15 all around average; but it couldn't offset a strong performance by the Glenbrook North squad. The Warriors were beaten 103 to 85. Todd Schludt had a 6.0 on the tramp. The varsity has a 1-6 record.

The sophomores were nipped by Glenbrook North 55.54 to 40.90. Strong performances were turned in by Glenn Rutten with a 3.40 on the trampoline and Don Steffan with a 2.8 on the high bar. Jim Schwab also turned in a strong performance with a 2.4 on the still rings.
