Club Holds Luncheon
The French Club, sponsored by Mrs. Susan Masellis, held a luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 21. The French luncheon took place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the home of club member Vera Matushek. Among the girls who attended were French Club President Betty Latson and Vice-President Cathy King.

The luncheon was put on to help the members learn how to cook authentic French foods. The menu consisted of salad, homemade French dressing, French onion soup, Quiche Lorraine, a pie made of cheese and bacon, ham and chicken crepes with rice, and for dessert chocolate mousse.
The staple items such as cheese and salt and pepper were brought from home by the girls.

All the food came from a $.75 fee which all the girls had to pay. Mrs. Masellis did the shopping, and the extra amount came from the club's treasury.

Mrs. Masellis said, "The dishes were a new experience; it was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time."
