Student Council Plans Activities

Student Council has planned many of its activities for the 1976-77 school year.

Student Council is producing this year's V-Show to be held on Nov. 18, 19, and 20. Due to the building changes V-Show will have a whole new atmosphere. The stage will be set up on risers, and the temporary chairs in the front of the auditorium will be cleared out. Plans are for a new, more intimate nightclub setting. Tables and chairs will be set up and food served before every performance.

Building changes may also hamper plans for the Christmas Formal and Girls' Choice Dance. Because of construction in the auditorium the Christmas Formal may have to be postponed until later in January. If the dance is held in January, it
will be called the Winter Formal. Girls' Choice, which is tentatively set for Mar. 5, may not be held at Maine West because of the construction.

Other activities include: Penny Drive for charity on Nov. 13-19, Christmas card delivery on Dec. 13-17, Non-Smokers week Jan. 12-16, Secret Admirers' Day on Feb. 14, Teacher Appreciation Day on Feb. 25, Girls' Choice Dance Mar. 5, Elections on Feb. 1-8, and Super Week on April 19-25.

Student Council officers include: John Cherney '77, president; Carrie Jo Brown '77, vice president; Bill Hanselmann '78, treasurer; Dawn Ericksen '79, chairman of public relations; and Ann Vaccarello '79, chairman of social committee.
