"Avenues of the Arts"
On Friday, May 6, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Music, Art, Home Economics, Industrial Education, Physical Education, and English Departments will hold their annual festival of art with a new format. Displays will be color coded and spread throughout the school. Admission is free, and all students and parents are invited to attend.
Blood Drive
The annual city blood drive will be held in the foyer of the Herman L. Rider Memorial Gymnasium May 10 and 11. All faculty and students with parent's permission are urged to donate.
"Enjoy Yourself"
The Maine West Orchesis Club will hold its annual presentation of contemporary dance tonight and Saturday night, Apr. 30. The cost is $1, and tickets will be sold by club members, in the bookstore, and at the door. The show will start at 8 p.m. in the B-wing gym.
Science Awards
The Science Department will acknowledge their outstanding students at the awards presentation Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Varsity Cheerleading Tryouts
Tryouts for sophomore and junior girls interested in being on the varsity cheerleading squad will be held May 2-5, in A-wing gym.
SAT and ACT Testing
|For those students already registered, the SAT and ACT tests will be given on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. - noon.
Pom Pon Clinics
Pom Pon clinics and tryouts will be held for all girls interested on May 9-13 in A-wing gym.
AFS Marriage
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Maurice, parents of Anne Maurice (Maine West AFS student from France for the 1975‑76 school year) would like Des Plaines residents to know that Anne married Mr. Paul Romero on Apr. 23.
