Casts Are Announced For 3 One‑Act Play

Winter Production Casts Announced

The Winter Production this year is three one‑act plays. The casts for these plays are as follows: "The Murder of Lidice": Megan Peterson '77, Woman No. 1; Janice Johnson '80. Woman No. 2: Mary Gradl '78, Woman No. 3; Mary McMahon '78, Woman No. 4; Steve Pelinski '77, Man No. 1; Steve Burek '79, Man No. 2. This play will be directed by Mr. Robert Norris.

"Stuffings": Jeff Stine '78, Edgar: Jeanne Zemaitis '77, Gladys; Dan Bakker '78, George.

"The Ugly Duckling": Sheila Wall '80, queen: Dick Lindberg '78, king; Bruce Weaver '77, chancellor: Maureen O'Malley '80, princess: Paul Dombrowski '80, prince: Ann Zemaitis '78, Ducibella; John Jones '77, Carlo. These plays will be directed by Mr. Ron Mills.

Choruses Present Christmas Concert

The Maine West Music Department presented its annual Christmas Choral Concert on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. in the Maine West auditorium.

Mr. Donald Lord was the choral director for the concert, Mr. Ted Vargas was associate choral director, and Mr. Thomas Lalouf, student teacher from Northwestern University, was the conductor for "The Shepherds Carol." The program featured the Concert Choir, Mixed Choruses I, II, and III, the Girls Ensemble, Choraliers, and a finale combined number, "Tidings of Comfort and Joy," arranged by Mr. Norman Luboff.

Leadership Breakfast Held

Campus Life sponsored the eighth annual Leadership Breakfast on Dec. 4 in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. The musical group, "Under New Management," entertained the guests.

Seminar on Death and Dying

Sociology classes attended an in‑school seminar on death and dying recently in R‑209. The speakers were a priest, a paramedic, a funeral director, a lawyer, and a terminally ill person.

Vacation To Begin

Christmas vacation begins today at 3:27 p.m. School resumes at 8 a.m., on Jan. 3, 1977.
