Once More Those Finals Arrive

By DIANA BOEGE

Since January is now here,
And it is the middle of the school year,
Everyone here at Maine West
Is completely filled with fear.

Once again, it's that dreadful time,
When you just can't waste any time,
In a few days you have your midyear finals,
And you have to have every fact in your mind.

Your teachers start telling you what you should know,
But all that you can say is oh, oh, oh!
So you bring home your books that you have tests on,
And you study all night until it's time for bed.

The days very quickly pass,
And tomorrow start your finals,
Your mind is all filled so you have nothing else on your mind,
Your mind is just filled with dates, times, and places.

Now you're sitting in your class,
Just hoping that you pass,
Because this is your hardest test of all.
Finally you're done and your heart has come back.

Now you think back on the tests,
And realize how easy it really was;
You remember all the studying you did,
And think to yourself, it was really all worth it!
