Snowflake

By SHARON LANDUYT

I tried to catch a snowflake,
But it floated by too fast.
I wanted just to save it
To have its beauty last.

For I know that if it landed
I would have it lost forever
Just like a piece within a puzzle
Lost in a giant white cover.

Each one is so delicate
Touching makes it break
So fragile and white
How I wish I'd caught that snowflake!
