The Maine West cagers are squaring off against a powerful Glenbrook North squad tonight at 8 in the Rider 'gym.
The Titans have a 4‑4 record and‑Are currently ranked third in conference action. They are seeking revenge after losing on Dec. 7 to the Warriors 62‑61 in overtime at Glenbrook North.
The Warriors are currently ranked seventh in the conference with a 2‑5 record, after last week's games were cancelled due to the weather. They will be rescheduled only if necessary to establish final standings in the conference.
On Jan. 22 the Raiders of Waukegan West wished their game with the Warriors was cancelled after being trounced 76‑56.
In the first quarter Pete Karabas got the cagers off to a fast start hitting his first four shots helping the Maine build a 19‑17 lead.
In the second quarter the sloppy defensive work of Waukegan enabled Maine to score 22 points, of which 10 came on free throws. The Warriors led 41‑26 at the half.

In the second half, however, the Raiders pulled within nine for the Warriors didn't score the first half of the third period.
The final period saw Bob Anderson stun the Raiders scoring on successive fast breaks.
On Jan. 21 it was all Maine South as the Warriors were trounced for the third time this season, 61‑35. by the powerful Hawks.
The first quarter was basically defense with the Hawks hot shooting Tom Barr scoring four of eight Hawk points to give South a slim 8‑6 lead.
In the second quarter the Maine West offense came alive as Pete Karabas and Bob Zuccarini combined for 12 points. The Warriors played tough defense holding, South to just eight points and took a 21‑16 lead into the locker room at the half.
Unfortunately, the cagers had yet to play the second half as Maine South came out hitting 12 unanswered points before a score by Mike Wright broke the string. Playing an explosive offense, South scored 45 points and out-rebounded the Warriors two to one. The final score was 61‑35 a 26‑point swing in the second half.
