Think Spring

By SHELLY CARPENTIER

As the night turns into morning
And the birds begin to sing,
As the sun comes up to spread its light,
People think of spring.

As the warm breezes start to blow
And the butterflies beat their wings,
As the ice in the pond begins to melt,
People think of spring.

As the air turns from cool to warm
And children play on their swings,
As the flowers and grass begin to grow.
People think of spring.

As the day turns into night
And the birds no longer sing,
As the moon and stars begin to shine
People dream of spring.
