Maine North To Hold College Night Sept. 29
College Night

The annual college night will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. at Maine North. Representatives from throughout the nation will attend the meeting to talk about various schools. Both students and parents will have a chance to obtain information about these colleges. Yearbook Pictures

Any graduates who need to turn in black and white graduation pictures must do so by Thanksgiving to Mr. George Walker in R-210. Sittings for those who wish to have their pictures taken will be held Sept. 26 to 30 at Maine West. Students can see the Root receptionist for an appointment today before 3:30 p.m. Pictures of underclassmen will be taken at school on Oct. 3 and 4 on the Rider Gym balcony. Faculty pictures will also be taken Sept. 26 to 30.

David Kurtz, Class of '72, will be on the Loop Radio tomorrow, Sept. 24, at 10a.m. Bill Evans, the station's disk jockey, will interview Mr. Kurtz and play a few of his songs that are soon to be released. Listeners may talk to them by dialing 437‑9264.

Last year the Westerner was rated by the Quill and Scroll Newsmedia Evaluation and received 838 points out of 1,000 possible. This score gives the paper an International First Place Award as a Newspaper of Substantial Achievements.
