Logisz To Play All‑Star Game
Tim Logisz will play tonight in the City/Suburban All‑Star Basketball Game at Prospect High School. He will also play the second game in the series, Apr. 22, at DePaul University. Both games will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Chicago Sun‑Times will sponsor both of these games. The staff of the paper chose the finest talent from the city and suburban schools for this game. Students from the city will be competing against students from the suburbs.
All profits from the games will help the Athletes for Better Education Organization. It is a non-profit group that tries to work with and help athletes.
It works in the areas of academics and citizenship as well as basketball. They fund a summer camp for athletes where they not only practice basketball but work on their school studies. The students who attend the camp can actually take a course and receive school credit for it.
Tickets for the game can be obtained in numerous ways. Tickets in advance can be obtained at the Sun‑Times Public Service Bureau, Prospect High School, Mt. Prospect State Bank, and Athletes for Better Education Offices. General admission tickets are $3. Students buying tickets in advance and showing high school identification will have to pay only $2.
