Maine Seniors Anticipate
Commencement Exercises
Graduation Schedule

Seniors graduate on June 14, and they will be given three tickets each at marching practice, June 8. Caps and gowns will be distributed at marching practice, but all bills, bookstore fees, athletic equipment, etc. must be taken care of prior to June 5. The Senior Dessert is June 7, and the honors assembly will be June 9, which is also the Senior Prom date. Baccalaureate, which is on Sunday, June 11, will be at 3 p.m.

Pom Pon Tryouts

The clinics for Pom Pon start on Monday, May 15. The preliminary tryout is on Wednesday, May 17, and the final tryout is on Friday, May 19. Girls who missed meeting on May 4 can pick up permission slips from Miss Wagner in the office.

Marathon results

The dance marathon which was held on Apr. 15 turned out successfully with over $2,000 worth of pledges. There were only about two couples who didn't last all eight hours. The couples who won the two dance contests were Pat McGahan and Lisa Kirkpatrick; George Mallett and Karen Behm.
Gymnastics Invitational

The gymnastics invitational which was Saturday, Apr. 22, will be on Channel 11 the last week in May. In first place from Pennsylvania of the girls was Cheryl Micklo with a total of 36.50. From Nebraksa, James Hartung placed first of the boys with a total of 56.55.

Junior Prom

The Junior Prom will be held May 13 from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., and tickets will be on sale that week at $4 per couple. The theme this year will be a French atmosphere entitled, "Paris in Springtime."

A.P. Tests

The Advanced Placement Tests are going to be the week of May 15 at Maine West. On Monday English tests will be given; Tuesday, American history; Wednesday, mathematics; Thursday, Spanish and biology, and on Friday, chemistry and European history.
