S.C. Chooses New Officers

The '78-'79 Student Council officers were elected earlier this month. The newly elected officers are Dave Jackson '79, president; Laura Geimer '79, vice-president; Sue Wolinski '79, secretary; Toni Christ '80, treasurer.
Dave already has plans underway for next year's various Student Council activities. Next year's Homecoming theme has been decided on as "The Wonderful World of Disney." Council will also have to hold some kind of fund raiser. Next year Student Council would like to start sponsoring dances after home football and basketball games.

Some more recent Student Council activities include the dance marathon, which raised about $1,500 for the retarded citizens and the blood drive from which they got 212 pints of blood donated. Also held was the communication seminar in 1,402 in which the staff and students discussed such topics as co‑ed gym, why French fries aren't sold separately and why there are so many missing mirrors in the boys' washrooms.
