Ellen Reflects Upon Year
The end of the school year is close at hand, and what a year it has been. Although the Student Council was small and inexperienced, much was accomplished. This year's Homecoming, "Circus, Circus," was the most successful MW has ever experienced. It brought out the kind of spirit that most students seem to hide during the rest of the year. After Homecoming Student Council focused its attention on the production of the annual Variety Show. Much to our delight, this year's V‑Show was staged in the new auditorium.

During the winter months we worked on such projects as the canned food drive at Thanksgiving, the Christmas card delivery, the Christmas formal, and Secret Admirer's Day. The Girl's Choice Dance, Heart Day, and elections were just a few of the activities we handled this spring.
Three of our main service projects included the Penny Drive, the Dance Marathon, and the Blood Drive. A hearty congratulations goes to all those who participated in these events. All in all, it has been a most rewarding year, and I have been proud to serve as president.

In closing, I would like to thank all of the people who made the 1977-1978 Student Council a great success. A special thanks goes to Mr. Erv Geisler and Mrs. Gail Macdonald, our sponsors, who have put out much time and effort into helping us organize our activities. Ellen Christ President
