Badminton
Linda Bergles was named this year's most valuable badminton player. She has been on the Maine West badminton team for the last three years. Her sophomore year she played at the junior varisty level. Last year Linda won the most improved member of the team award. Junior and senior years she played at the varsity level.
She was a member of the all conference team this year. Her doubles partner, Sue Linderman, and she won sixth in the state tournament. They also won doubles at the Maine East Invitational. She and Sue won second doubles in the conference tournament.
Linda made the B honor roll her freshman, junior, and senior years. She plans on going to Northeastern Illinois University in the fall.
Linda enjoys many sports, and she was also on the tennis team her senior year along with badminton.
