Gymnastics
This year Maureen Mukai has been selected as the outstanding senior gymnast for the 1977-78 school year. Maureen has been very active at Maine West. She has participated in: National Honor Society, A-honor roll cheerleading, gymnastics, Leaders, and was on the Leader Board.
On the gymnastics team, Maureen has competed in floor exercise and vaulting, but her specialty is the beam. Her teammates and coaches describe Maureen as being dedicated and very concerned about the whole team and with helping others on the team as much as possible. In her senior year of the team Maureen was voted captain.
