'Visions' Soon To Present Acts
Maine West presents this year's V-Show "Visions," on Nov. 16-19. Wednesday, Nov. 16, there will be a matinee performance at 4 p.m. and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances will be at 8 p.m.

Tickets should be available in the bookstore; the cost is $2 for the evening performances. At the Wednesday matinee performance students can get in for $1 with a student ID. card.

This year's show, "Visions," has a wishes, dreams, and fantasies theme. There are 32 acts in all. Some of the types are dialogue, instrumental, jazz and ballet dances, original comedy, and original vocal numbers. There are approximately 100 people in this year's show. This year there is a new twist, a faculty act. A group of teachers have put an act together for the show.
"Visions" will be the first show on the new stage. The remodeling of the stage will help in a variety of ways. A fly loft has been added which enables the scenery to be raised and lowered by wires. There also has been a scene shop added directly behind the stage so scenery can be moved more easily. A costume storage room and a new make‑up room has been added. Another help is that the lighting and sound equipment has been completely redone.

Ms. Carla Oleck this year's faculty director, was asked what she looked forward to most in this year's show. She replied, "Seeing acts develop -being written and polished - and seeing the actors grow in their roles. I also enjoy seeing the students meet new friends in rehearsals."
