Mr. Stan Walgreen Chosen As New Council Chairman
New PTC Chairman

Mr. Stan Walgreen is the new 1977 Parent Teacher Council chairman. The Executive Council consists of the newly elected class officers as well as reprentatives from the booster clubs and administration members.

School Holiday

Classes will not be in session on Friday, Nov. 11, which is Veterans' Day. This day is set aside for American citizens to honor their war veterans.

Quarter To End

The first quarter will end on Thursday, Nov. 10, so the second quarter begins following the three day weekend.

Aquiana Correction

The last issue of the Westerner omitted three names of girls who made Aquiana. The girls are Debbie Beck '78, Linda Benton '79, and Sue Corstens '80.
Aviation Club Visits O'Hare

Aviation Club went on a field trip to O'Hare Airport Oct. 17. About 14 students attended the trip which included a guided tour of American Airlines. The students visited the field and members of the maintenance crew.

Seniors Get Applications

Those seniors who are interested in attending the University of Illinois at Urbana should pick up applications in the career resource center. Deadline for all papers to be in order at the University of Illinois is Nov. 15.

Homecoming on WMTH

WMTH will provide exclusive coverage of tonight's Homecoming game. The broadcast begins at eight o'clock with Frank Fiarito '78 and Mark Halverson '80 announcing. Preceeding the game there will be music at 4 p.m. For those who will not be attending the game, it will be aired on 88.5 FM.
