Tennis Team Enjoys Successful Season
This year's girls' varsity tennis team is having a successful season. In their recent conference meet against Conant, Maine West won by a score of 5-2. Winners for the singles competition were Nancy Weber, Denise Jenderzak, and Laura Incardone. Winners for the doubles competition were Linda Bergles and Debbie Molinaro; Julie Stenstrom and Tammy Burk.
Last weekend, Oct. 14 and 15, Maine West competed in the CSL tournament with outstanding jobs performed by Nancy Weber and Denise Jenderzak.

The junior varsity team lost to Niles North by a score of 6-1. Liz Bock was Maine West's only winner for that meet. When Maine West competed against Forest View, Maine West was defeated, 4-2.
In the meet against Conant, Maine West swept them away with a 4-1 victory. Winners were Liz Bock and Kay Vinsi for singles competition and for doubles competition, Cindy Sniezek and Karen Peterson; Molly Sherkey and Kim Stryker.
