Plans Busy Schedule
A busy schedule was planned for all the bands and choirs. A Diamond Jubilee was held on Nov. 8 and 9, a mall dedication held on Nov. 10, and this year's V-Show, "Visions," held on Nov. 17, 18, and 19.

December might be approaching slowly for some, but for Jazz Band, Concert Band, and the choirs, it is just around the corner. This year to commemorate the 75‑year anniversary of the Maine Township district, a Diamond Jubilee was held. This music festival was held at Maine East High School. A guest director, from Arizona University, Mr. Mcewne was on hand to help in the directing of the festival.

The Des Plaines Mall was dedicated recently, and the Concert Band was on hand to perform. The band left at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 and was back by lunch. Members of the band felt honored to have been chosen to play at the dedication.
Each year the bands play for the annual V‑Show. This year's V‑Show was held in the auditorium and provided another job for the band to tackle.

The Christmas Concert this year will be held Dec. 9 and is under the direction of Mr. Robert Kuite, Mr. Paul Magnusson, Mr. Donald Lord, and Mr. Francis Vaupel. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. The concert will consist of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Choir, and much more. This concert will be one of the first ones performed in by the Jazz Band.

The Maine West Music Department really has had their hands full this year. It has always been their tradition to perform several times during the year. However, it seems that these traditions fall on the same days of the year.
