Pizza Day Successful
A.F.S. Pizza Day was held on Saturday, Nov. 5. Becky Henkes, A.F.S. International Club president, said, "We made 1,100 pizzas, and we sold all of them. We had a lot of good help."

The club made a profit of approximately $1,700, The money that was raised will help to continue the foreign exchange program.

The club's upcoming plans include having a Christmas party for the club members, A.F.S. students from around the area, and adult members of the club. The party will be held in the school cafeteria.
They are also planning on having a Christmas dinner for a needy family, a good drive, and an A.F.S. weekend. An A.F.S. weekend is when A.F.S. students from other schools spend the weekend with a Des Plaines family.

"You don't have to take a course in a language to join the club. The A.F.S. International Club is to promote friendship in and around the community," said Becky.

The club meets Thursday mornings in L‑202.
